Reflection
This year presented many challenges which I was able to work with our principal to identify the problem and create a solution. We were continually updating our schedule as we changed learning models. I saw the need for additional student interventions so we began an after school homework assistance program as well as an after school credit recovery program using an online learning system. Additionally, as a site team we needed to figure out the square footage of classrooms and then I needed to schedule students according to the capacity of individual rooms and the different hybrid days. I also interviewed a principal on how they manage their time. Specific things I already use such as Google calendar and conversations with those who have access to your calendar were at the top of the list. Additionally, it is always important to prioritize tasks each day which is something I do. Something I learned from this assignment was to remember to delegate as a principal. With technology, tasks can be delegated online in documents which make them easy to check in on and often time administrative assistants can do more than they are asked. I would say I am naturally a quick processor. This attribute along with what I have learned make this area a strength for me.
